Episode 28 - Final BIG Practice   by Trent Denison

Episode 28 - Final BIG Practise

Ok so today we have my final BIG March practice game. I lined up against Lachlan McWhirter, the new number 1 player in Australia. Unsurprisingly, he smashed me. :) This episode I took a different route to the normal commentating on the game over the footage. Instead, I decided to have a chat with Locky, and Pommy Dave who also watched the game, about how it had panned out. So before you watch the episode, you should briefly read this game synopsis so you know what we are talking about.

I deployed most of my army on the left side of my deployment zone, which was a mistake. I should have used a large hill for cover, and advanced over that. I pressed forwards with all my blocks, and in turn two I moved my Giant and Knights onto the crest of the hill to threaten his infantry blocks. The Catapult killed three knights, leaving two that advanced right into the teeth of his army, trying to divert and potentially take out the Catapult. The Giant was placed to charge three possible units, hoping to survive for a small while. I foolishly joined my BSB to the frenzied Ogres, and Locky pulled them into a flank charge from the Tomb Guard using his two Scorpions with a forced Overrun. After destroying the Ogres and my BSB easily, the Tomb Guard advanced on my Marauder unit with my Mages. The Giant was pinned in place by Carrion, and eventually flanked by his other infantry unit with his Prince. After a valiant fight, he was taken down by the Prince. My other unit of Knights had swept around the flank and came into the game late to threaten his Priests. However he cleverly diverted them away with his Light Cav unit. This left his Priests alone but by this stage my Mages were pinned down by the Tomb Guard. The final turn saw Locky cleverly use his reform banner and a unit of Chariots that swept around the rear of my army to take out all my characters and leave my army in tatters, and my dreams for BIG March in pieces. :) Enjoy the video!

Dont forget, you can email me at sales@warpuppy.com if you want to have a chat about anything in the episodes, or have an idea for a future episode. Lots of exciting episodes coming up, so stay tuned to the WarPuppy channel!

Cheers
