March already…it doesn’t seem that long ago that the silly season was in full swing. With Auscon not that far away we are busily finalizing our plans for that event. Hard covered and containing 112 full colour pages, it displays the new awesomeness that is the Orcs ‘n Goblins in all their glory. The new Arachnarok Spider just has to be seen to be believed! Back Order Lines.

Over the next few months we will be adding some back order lines to the range of miniatures / games that are currently available at WarPuppy. This month we have started to add Dark Age, a skirmish game using between 10 – 20 miniatures. Dark Age is inspired by the dark imagery of BROM and is set in a world where plasma rifles meet crossbows. One thing however is common across all the factions: the instinct for survival at any cost.

It’s Alive! What are Living Card Games?   

A Living Card Game (LCG) is a game that breaks away from the traditional Collectible Card Game (CCG) model by offering a new fixed card distribution method that still offers the same dynamic customizable, expanding, and constantly evolving game play that makes CCG’s so much fun, but without the blind buy purchase model that has burned out so many players. The end result is an innovative mix that gives you the best of both worlds!

WarPuppy has two LCG’s in store at present, Warhammer Invasion: The Card Game and Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game.

Warhammer Invasion: The Card Game
Warhammer: Invasion is a two-player game of intense warfare, clever kingdom management, and epic questing. Players can choose between Order - Dwarfs, Empire, and High Elves - and Destruction - Orcs, Chaos, and Dark Elves. Players will battle head-to-head to achieve dominance of the Old World.

The Core Set is the best way to start playing it contains capital boards, a number of tokens and four playable out of the box decks. The Deluxe Expansions allow extra playable races like High Elves and Dark Elves as well as Lizardman and Undead allies.

By buying Battle Packs, fixed 40 card supplements that feature 20 distinct cards (10 cards of 1 copy each and 10 cards of 3 copies each), players will be able to customize their core decks, or create strategies and decks of their own.

Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game.
The Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game is a game of horror, insanity and terror for two. Take on the role of intrepid investigator trying to solve the mysteries of the ancient ones, or a servant of the Mythos and carry out vile conspiracies, or any combination of the two.
