The New Year is here! WarPuppy has some big plans this year and Mick and Adam are both extremely excited about the opportunities that await us. To share some of that excitement with you, we’ve decided to kick start the new year with a sale. More details are included later in the newsletter, but suffice it to say you have the opportunity for some decent savings during January.
On the gaming side of things, Mick and Adam are both playing the Hotgoblin Blood Bowl league. The season would have kicked off by the time you are reading this. Mick is taking “point and click” Chaos, whilst Adam is running the tactically challenging Norse. (Can you tell who is writing this part of the newsletter?) You’ll be able to follow the exploits of the Chuck Norses via Adam’s blog here.
If you have questions remember that you can email us or chat to Adam on MSN Messenger during business hours on messenger ID: sales@warpuppy.com .

OUR PICK
Pimp your table top.
Tired of fighting you battles over the same old scenery pieces you’ve had for years? Do your bunkers of the 41st millennium have an infestation of xenos spiders? Perhaps it’s then time to look at upgrading some of your existing terrain pieces or adding some new pieces to your collection.
WarPuppy has a range of scenery options for you to examine.
CNC Workshop
CNC Workshop is an Australian based company that specializes in a range of MDF sci-fi and fantasy terrain kits. The pieces need to be cut out of the MDF sheet, similar to cutting plastic parts of a sprue. All the pieces are slot fitted for quick and easy assembly. For sturdier terrain pieces we recommend gluing the pieces together with PVA or superglue.
They also produce a range of terrain bases for area terrain features. These are handy if you don’t have access to power tools to create your forests or rough terrain features.
Citadel
Of late Citadel has been producing some spectacular terrain kits for both Warhammer and 40K. The Tower of Sorcery would have to be our favorite of the newest releases. Whilst these kits are firmly based in the Games Workshop universes, it’s easy enough to create generic terrain pieces to be used for whatever game system you play. These kits are highly detailed and really do benefit from a decent paint job.
They also have a range of “generic” area terrain, including hills, craters and forests. With a minimal work and a bit of planning these pieces are usable in either system. Cidatel also have a range of more specialized terrain features. The Temple of Skulls springs to mind and easily usable as a rather evil looking hill, or, making use of the new Warhammer terrain rules, a proper Temple of Skulls.
