The cool thing about these products is that with a range of different grades you can mix your own proportions of different scatter to make exactly the right basing grit for your models and scenery project. This is really useful when choosing the right basing material for different miniature scales (i.e. fine grades for 15mm minis and course grades for 28mm minis).

The finer grades can be used as a dry medium to texture paint for different effects. Perfect for that scenery project!
